Aden Energies partners with Johnson Controls on another new energy contract

Aden Energies is proud to announce another long-term partnership with Johnson Controls on an energy storage project in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. This marks the second time the two companies have teamed up since last year’s solar/VP collaboration.

The contract underlines both sides’ commitment to sustainability. The project entails the implementation of a 6MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) integrated with a VPP platform. The project will combine battery storage, solar power, and demand-side management to optimize energy use for Johnson Control’s Wuxi plant.

This project is expected to deliver a substantial 12% reduction in power costs for JCI, stressing its competence in the future trading market. Additionally, Aden’s new VPP platform will enable Johnson Control to participate in future VPP business models, preparing them for the evolving energy trading landscape.

This partnership marks the second time Aden Energies has collaborated with Johnson Controls on an energy project since the 25-year energy contract established last year. The previous project involved the construction of solar/PV infrastructure at two sites for Johnson Control in Wuxi, aiming to generate a projected 2.1825 billion kWh of green electricity, equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by 230,000 tons or replacing 88,000 tons of standard coal.

Recently, Aden Energies has initiated the VPP business to connect different owned assets and operate collectively in a way that enhances energy production, storage, and distribution, which will help participants in virtual power plants to improve operational efficiency, lower power costs, make power-side investments and promote the sustainable goals.
